THE Greatest Dinner EVER

We have a tradition in our house to have fondue for Valentine's Day. Here is the menu:

Beer Cheese Soup
1 cup onion, minced
1 cup celery, minced
2 tbsp flour
3/4 bottle lager
1 tsp curry
1 tbsp dry mustard powder
3 cups chicken broth
1 lb cheddar cheese
4 oz cream cheese, cubed

Sweat (saute) veggies in 5 tbsp butter
Mix in flour and curry
Add lager, broth, and mustard - bring to boil then reduce heat
Add cheeses with a whisk

Cube Pumpernickel bread to dip in the soup. THE best combo

Fondue
Gihradelli's semi-sweet chips (6 oz)
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Place all ingredients in heat-safe glass bowl over pan of boiling water and melt.
Add to fondue pot (optional) heated with tealight

Dippers

Apple slices
Banana quarters
Strawberries and....

Marshmallows rolled in melted butter, then rolled in crushed graham crackers. MY FAVORITE!!

This WILL make you feel overindulgent!!
